Big Climate Connection

Big Climate ConnectionHave you heard about the Big Climate Connection?

The Big Climate Connection has been set up by the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition.  The aim is for concerned citizens to lobby their MP by sending letters and setting up meetings on the 5th and 6th of November.  You can go on the website to find out how to get involved and join your local lobby.

Writing a letter will only take half an hour, and could be the catalyst to making your MP aware of climate change: 'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, indeed, it's the only thing that ever does'  Margaret Mead.

If your not sure who your MP is, take a look at the web site they work for you and check out what issues your MP is interested in.  This will help you when it comes to write a letter to them regarding your climate change concerns.

For instance, my MP is Dominic Raab.  It seems he is interested in business so i will write a letter to him emphasising the importance of the green sector in creating jobs in the UK.  I will also speak of Britain's need to invest in, rather than give aid to developing countries.  In short, I will play down the climate change disaster argument and focus instead on how business can play a practical, and moral role, in fighting the effects of Climate Change.

Happy letter writing!
